Illustration Feature :: Digital Arts Magazine

May 20th, 2010 by Felicia

This month, my illustration work can be seen in June issue of Digital Arts Magazine, under the Artist Showcase page.

Digital Arts is a publication based in UK, distributed internationally, known for its quality content on artist features and latest news in the creative industry in areas such as graphic design, animation, video and illustration used for web and print. Since my illustration process is based on a combination of traditional media and digital media techniques, I am grateful to be part of  this month’s issue of Digital Arts Magazine. Many thanks to the editorial team and particularly Art Editor Johann Chan!

New Fashion Illustrations : Floral Backgrounds for Spring Issue of Asian Wave Magazine

April 28th, 2010 by Felicia

As a freelance illustrator I am often contacted by fashion magazines to create artwork that complements the editorial pictorial. One of my latest projects, is a collaboration with fashion editor Julia Che from communication boutique Lotus Leaf Style, based here in Toronto. My role was to create five illustrations as background art for a fashion spread , to be published in the spring issue of Asian Wave Magazine.

The May issue of Asian Wave Magazine is not out yet, so I don’t have a final depiction of the fashion spreads. Once I will get a copy of the magazine I will post the images on my illustration blog. Here is a preview of my latest artwork which has been posted to my fashion illustration gallery of the website.

Lady Alfa Romeo

April 7th, 2010 by Felicia

This is the title of my new illustration that will be part of an exhibition dedicated to the popular Italian car racing brand Alfa Romeo to celebrate their 100 years anniversary. The exhibition will take place in Milan, this spring. Lady Alfa Romeo will be printed in a special edition of 150 and will be sold in the exhibition as well as on the art collection website of Alfa Romeo. So far 100 artists are participating in this exciting project, and the theme of the illustrations was racing, car-nostalgia and of course Alfa Romeo. http://www.alfaromeoart.com

The artists were selected by Alfa Romeo and Cultwork, in collaboration with Illustrative, the leading international forum for contemporary illustration and graphic arts. My artist page in regards to this project can be viewed here

In my next post I will show some of the sketches and process work for Lady Alfa Romeo.
